I might love diabetes camp just as much as you do! I LOVE to see you riding horses, doing archery, singing silly songs, giving your first shot and feeling secure about your diabetes among your fellow campers and counselors who also have diabetes! It’s such a joy to see you just be you. 

I’m a pediatric nurse and diabetes educator at Children’s. I am lucky to meet with families when they are first diagnosed and teach them how to manage diabetes. I have a passion for working with you because I too, have a personal connection to diabetes. My big sister, Kate, was diagnosed when she was 7 years old. She’s the toughest lady I know in spite of her diabetes! Here we are together. She’s on the right and I’m on the left.
